RESIDENTIAL HEATING
Van Manen Petroleum Group is a reliable supplier of home heating oil throughout the greater West Michigan area. We offer both Will Call (call-in your order every time you need heating oil) and Keep Full (we are responsible for filling your tank) services.
Our policy is to provide all our customers with the highest level of service and best value in the industry. In an effort to keep this pledge and improve our efficiencies we established a delivery policy for “Will Call” customers. If you choose to call in every order, then the minimum delivery is 150 gallons with no extra charges. If you need less than 150 gallons there is an additional minimum delivery charge.
We do have charges for weeknight after hours delivery, weekend delivery or for relighting furnaces and appliances. These charges can change so please contact us for specifics… Or consider becoming a Keep Full customer. This is the hassle free way to go with no extra charges and no worrying about running out of fuel.
As an additional feature for our existing customers we will offer the following Fuel Oil Program:
Budget Pay: This program offers a low monthly payment all season long because you don’t have to pay your entire delivery amount all at once, allowing you to budget your heating costs, with no surprises. The budget program runs September thru July.

DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID (DEF) FAQS
What is Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)?
Uses Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), a solution of urea and primarily water to reduce NOx emissions to near zero!
What is DEF and how is it used?
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is an automotive grade of 32.5% urea mixed with 67.5% demineralized water. It’s Non-hazardous, non-toxic, and non-flammable. DEF is used in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to change diesel powered bus, car, and truck NOx emissions to nitrogen and water.
How often will I need DEF?
DEF will be used about 2% – 3% of your diesel fuel consumption. Therefore, every time you use 100 gallons of diesel fuel you will need approximately 2 – 3 gallons of DEF.
Is DEF a fuel additive?
No, there is a separate tank for the fluid. DEF should not be added to the fuel tank.
What are the benefits of using DEF?
Diesel engines equipped with SCR using DEF not only meet the 2010 tailpipe standard, but they also deliver a significant fuel economy benefit.
Why Van Manen DEF?
It is a safe, environmentally friendly solution for SCR. Ultra pure formaldehyde free NOx reducing treatment, specifically formulated for diesel engines equipped with SCR.
What are the advantages of SCR?
SCR provides better fuel economy, meets 2010 Vehicle Emissions standards for diesel engines, and improves engine lubricant and filter life.
What packaging delivery services do you offer?
We offer Single Use Containers, Mini-Bulk Containers, and Tank Delivery.
